2. Hosting and technical infrastructure

The PeakRing application is not operated on our own servers but is provided via the service providers named below. We have concluded data processing agreements (DPAs) under GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 28 with all providers used that process personal data on our behalf.

The PeakRing.io web application is provided and operated via the Lovable platform. When the application is accessed, technical access data (including IP address, date and time of access, resource accessed, browser and device information) is processed to ensure delivery of the application, error analysis and IT security. Delivery takes place via a globally distributed content delivery and edge network (Cloudflare), which also provides protective functions against attacks and misuse. The legal basis is GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in secure and performant operation) as well as GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(b), insofar as the provision serves the performance of a contract.

The storage of user and call data as well as user login are carried out via the Supabase infrastructure provided as part of Lovable Cloud. In particular, account and profile data (name, email address, company data), login information and the call metadata you record are processed. The database is operated in a region within the European Union. The legal basis is GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(b).

We use the telephony provider sipgate GmbH, Gladbacher Str. 74, 40219 Düsseldorf, to provide the tracking phone numbers and transmit call events. Call metadata such as time, duration, direction, status and the phone numbers involved are transmitted to PeakRing via an interface (webhook) and assigned to your account there. Call content is neither recorded nor processed. The legal basis is GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(b).

IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, provides us exclusively with services in the area of domain management, DNS and business email mailboxes. IONOS is not the hosting provider of the PeakRing web application. As part of email communication via our business addresses, the respective content and connection data is processed by IONOS. Details can be found in the IONOS privacy policy: https://www.ionos.de/terms-gtc/terms-privacy. The legal basis is GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(f) as well as, for contract-related communication, GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(b).

The email delivery service of the Lovable Cloud infrastructure is used to send system and transactional emails (for example registration confirmation, password reset, notifications). Your email address, name, the respective message content and technical delivery data are processed in the process. The legal basis is GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(b).

We have concluded data processing agreements (DPAs) with the aforementioned service providers. These are contracts required under data protection law that ensure that the personal data of our website visitors and customers is processed only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

4. Data collection on this website

Our websites use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or display advertising.

Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process, for providing certain functions you wish to use (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or for optimizing the website (e.g. cookies for measuring the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(f), unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(a) and Section 25(1) TTDSG); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Insofar as cookies from third-party companies or for analysis purposes are used, we will inform you of this separately within the scope of this privacy policy and, if applicable, request consent.

5. Payment processing and subscription management via Stripe

We use the payment service provider Stripe to process payments, recurring subscriptions, invoices and, where applicable, refunds.

Depending on the specific service, the provider for customers in the European Economic Area is in particular:Stripe Payments Europe, Limited1 Grand Canal Street LowerGrand Canal DockDublinIreland

When using Stripe, in particular the following personal data may be processed and transmitted to Stripe:

  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.

The specific payment data, in particular complete card information, is generally processed directly by Stripe when using a payment interface provided by Stripe. In this case, PeakRing.io regularly only receives the information required for contract and payment management, for example the payment status, the payment method in abbreviated form and a transaction reference.

Processing is carried out for the following purposes:

  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.

The legal basis for the processing is GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(b), insofar as the processing is necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures or for the performance of a contract.

Insofar as the processing serves fraud prevention, IT security, payment protection or the assertion and defense of legal claims, it is carried out on the basis of GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(f). Our legitimate interest lies in secure and economical payment processing as well as protection against payment defaults and abuse.

Insofar as statutory retention, documentation or reporting obligations exist, the processing is additionally carried out on the basis of GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(c).

Stripe may also transmit personal data to affiliated companies, credit institutions, card networks, credit agencies, identity verification services and other parties involved in payment processing in order to provide its services.

In doing so, personal data may also be processed outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. Insofar as there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission for the respective recipient country, the transfer takes place, according to Stripe, in particular on the basis of suitable safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

The data is processed and stored for as long as this is necessary for payment and contract processing. In addition, data may be stored due to statutory commercial, tax and anti-money-laundering retention obligations. The specific retention periods at Stripe are additionally governed by Stripe's statutory obligations and privacy provisions.

Further information on the processing of personal data by Stripe, as well as on the data protection and security measures used by Stripe, can be found in Stripe's privacy policy and in Stripe's privacy center.

Insofar as the customer is redirected to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe customer portal to conclude or manage a subscription, payment data is entered directly in a user interface provided by Stripe. Sensitive payment data, in particular complete card data, is processed directly by Stripe and is not routed via PeakRing.io's servers.

Stripe may use technically necessary cookies and comparable technologies in the process. These serve in particular:

  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.
  • key '[object Object] (en)' returned an object instead of string.

Insofar as these technologies are strictly necessary for the requested payment processing, their use is based on the statutory provisions for strictly necessary technologies as well as on GDPR (DSGVO) Art. 6(1)(b) and (f).

Company, address, subscription and VAT data may be processed via Stripe for the purpose of creating invoices and determining the tax treatment of a service.

If you have any questions about the processing of your payment and invoice data, please contact us at hello@peakring.io.
